Alright,
Here's where we are going to discuss more or less how Lygosium should approach its economy and national policies, from which the result will hopefully lead to a economic policy which will allow all of us to thrive and grow in the coming days ahead.
The issues I feel need to be discussed...
What should the Tax rates be on all of the items? (sales tax, company tax, and so on)
Should the government have higher rates than in the city?
organizing products (which company produces this or that)
Ministry positions and politics (should the voter elegibility be a little lower, say perhaps 90%, and should there be more specific ministry positions (also would like to talk about the budget for each minister)
This what I hope to discuss when it's meeting time on wedsday.

Just a pre-discussion idea: Whenever possible it's best to buy from local corporations rather than foreign ones or Earthcorp. The same goes for looking for jobs.

For economy, I think 5-10% tax is good. Not too high and not too low. We must establish our economy first.

yeah that makes sense, but I think we, in order to grow better, is to establish who has what company and what they are planning to produce, that away everyone can be able to make money from all the trading and not worry about competition

I'm going on a tangent with this, but I feel it's hard to make good decisions on political matters without understanding their consequences and knowing experiences made in the past. Sadly neither tutorial nor wiki provide a comprehensive overview about the matters at hand - what tax rates seem to work, what public services can be provided and what kind of effect they have. My gut-feeling is military deterrence may be an important issue, but yet again there is little information available.
So, anybody got a good write-up or something similar?

I posted 2 articles on this topic: The New Way and Divinations. There isn't a lot to go by except for those right now, I also suggest reading the articles in Lygos City Post that talk about government structure. Those might be good reading material for Wednesday.

I want to discuss our country's Constitution. At the moment, we have a Aristocracy political system. Yes, all the people (Or 90%) can vote in the election. But the only one who can candidate is the head of party. At the moment we only have one party, and our current President ifritus is the head of it. My understanding of all the components in the game is not the best. So my question is, is there election for who shall be the head of party, or will it always be the founder?
Just want to make myself clear, I'm all for ifritus for president. But I'm also for democracy. And I'm also for independent candidates. If you disagree, please say why, and we can discuss it.

Can't we create another party?

Why would we like to create a new party? There is no need for a challenger right now, I think we have to build up the bureaucracy to a solid base before we start thinking about democratical ideals.

Because maybe we would like to have an institutionalized discourse, competition and power-check? I don't see serious dissent in the forseeable future, but having an alternative and people whose sole job it is to uncover and publicize inefficiencies, carelessness or even wrongdoing in the administration surely isn't a bad thing. Democracy isn't a luxury, it's a very basic building stone of a healthy and resilient community.

You kents should move to Snap City. It's heaven for workers, with low taxes and almost double the pay that you get in other Lysogium cities.
